Matt Bernard has been a resident of Greenwich since 1974. He attended local schools, graduating from Greenwich High School. He received a BA in architecture from Connecticut College and a master’s in real estate from Columbia University.
Matt first received his real estate brokers License while still in college. Over the last 40 years, he has represented his clients in a variety of commercial and residential transactions in Greenwich and throughout the tri-state market. He has also bought and sold numerous properties in Greenwich for his own family portfolio. He has renovated and restored houses in the Rock Ridge, Belle Haven, and Mead Point neighborhoods.
Matt’s extensive knowledge of the residential architectural inventory of Greenwich resulted in the production of a coffee table book on the history of Belle Haven titled: “Victorian Summer, The Historic Houses of Belle Haven Park, and Greenwich Ct.”
Matt has volunteered his time at the Greenwich Historical Society in its archives and Signs of the Times program. He currently serves on the Town of Greenwich Historic District Commission.
