Meticulous detailing and bespoke use of materials none more so than the granite floor tiles, sourced from Tretheway Stone Ltd, laid with the grain to follow the river's flow. Tretheway also supplied the black granite benchtops, the suspended fireplace hearth, and a custom dining table designed by Ron Sang, all crafted from the same granite cut. A notable feature of the house is the large circular front door handle, designed by renowned NZ artist Guy Ngan OBE, which appears in many homes designed by Sang Architects. Throughout the house, bespoke joinery created by Phoenix Joinery complements Sang Architects' designs, while most architectural hardware, including door handles, was sourced from Halliday + Baillie.
