Ama Agumeh

Ama Agumeh joined Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty in March, 2023, after becoming a licensed realtor earlier that year.
Having lived in three other countries, (Ghana, United Arab Emirates, and Switzerland), Ama is multilingual, speaks 6 languages (including German, Basic French and Akan). As a result, she has done her share of re-locating and going through the home buying and selling process.
She looks forward to bringing that experience to her new role as real estate agent. Passionate about “home” and houses, Ama is confident that she’ll be successful working with buyers and sellers to achieve their ultimate real estate goals.
Her strengths as measured by the CliftonStrengths scale include Lifelong Learning, Empathy, Positivity, Woo (“winning others over”), and Harmony – all attributes which will be instrumental in working with clients in real estate. Her unique combination of these strengths indicate that she will actively engage with her clients, seek to understand their wishes, and tenaciously work to make them come true. Her positive nature and ability to gain others’ trust will serve her well in troubleshooting during the buying and selling process and winning others over in the negotiation phase.
Ama holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, and previously worked as an Early Careers Researchers Recruiter at Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
