Local Expertise. Global Connections.
Born and raised in Miami, Steve moved to New York in the 70s and made his way even farther north to the Hudson Valley in 1980 for what was meant to be a short trip, but would soon become a permanent change of address. After walking in and joining the only real estate company at the time in Hudson, Kingsley took off in his role as one of the region's greatest advocates. With an eye for unique historical architecture and desirable landscapes, it was always easy for him to find the 'as-close-to' perfect home for his clients.
From day one, Steve has established himself as a cornerstone of the Hudson Valley country home market. Helming his own brokerage for nearly three decades, he has acted as a real estate advisor to some of the most celebrated creatives, artists, and tastemakers seeking a life of substance outside the city. From selling Astor Barns in Rhinebeck to Annie Liebovitz to landing the biggest sale in the Hudson Valley of the 1980s (the 500-acre Delano Estate on the Hudson River), to closing on the iconic Midwood and Chittingstone houses in Clermont, Kingsley has seen the ins and outs of almost every notable property in the entirety of the Hudson Valley.
Kingsley has always been deeply embedded in the culture of Hudson and its surrounding vibrant towns. He was a founding member of the preservation-focused organization Friends of Hudson, and now as a resident of 43+ years, he can look back and sum up how it all started: 'The nearly life-long love affair began when I was 30 years old and saw the sunset across the Catskill mountains and the Hudson River, and I knew immediately it was where I needed to live.'
