Jane Barton

Jane Barton has been recognized as a highly successful real estate agent in the Baltimore area for more than 20 years. She started her professional career as a licensed architect, eventually opening her own firm doing residential renovation and commercial interior design while raising her sons. Looking for a new career path that involved more interaction with others, she became licensed as a realtor. In 2012, Jane partnered with Linda Fredeking to provide seamless coverage to their clients in the 24/7 business of real estate. Jane and Linda developed a very productive team, annually earning the highest level of achievement. Although she stepped down from her role as a team leader in 2020, Jane continues to represent clients using the keys to her professional success; diligence, hard work, and being strategic and precise in everything she does. Jane has found her extensive experience in architecture and renovation to be an invaluable skill in working with both buyers and sellers. She knows how houses are built and what makes good design work. She sees defects in design and construction and clearly communicates her insight to her clients. Jane is honored to work as a buyer's agent to help people find a new home that makes their hearts sing, or as a listing agent for their current home, to maximize the value with the shortest time on the market. For many years, Jane has been a dedicated volunteer at St. Vincent's Villa in Timonium, a facility for children who are victims of trauma. She began as a Pets on Wheels volunteer with her Golden Retriever, Chester. Although Chester is now gone, Jane remains engaged as a volunteer. An active member and deacon of her church, she is working to help resettle a refugee family in Baltimore. A Baltimore County resident for more than 40 years, Jane and her architect husband raised two sons in Stoneleigh. Charlie, an artist in Baltimore, is married and has an adorable young daughter. David, an orthopedic surgeon in Florida, is married and has an equally delightful baby son. Jane enjoys travel, walking, hiking, rowing crew, and her new role as Nana.
