Joyce Bedenk is a Realtor Associate with Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty. Upon graduating with a Business Degree from Bowling Green State University, Joyce held progressive Operations Management positions in Dallas, Minneapolis and Chicago with a Fortune 20 healthcare supply firm. While in Chicago she earned her MBA at Loyola University and transitioned to the marketing side of the business, where she held positions of increasing responsibility in managing product, market, and sales support for large segments of medical products. After relocating to Atlanta with her husband, Tom, Joyce served as a Corporate Account Executive, responsible for managing relationships across multiple divisions of the firm with hospital clients’ Executive Suites.
After retiring from corporate life to raise a family, Joyce invested herself heavily in advancing and leading worthy volunteer causes, including everything from managing international mission trips to golf tournaments to serving as a church Elder. Her wide breadth of experiences, combined with strong communication skills, business acumen, and drive to help others makes Joyce an excellent advisor and advocate.
Over the years Joyce and her husband Tom have independently bought and sold many properties for their own purposes. Since retiring from corporate America, they built a home on Lake Keowee, where they enjoy swimming and surfing, hiking, traveling, and relaxing with family. During the Covid years, Tom and Joyce decided to combine their business skills and experience with their real estate interests, and obtained licenses in Georgia and South Carolina.As Realtors, they joined Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby's International Realty, where they are working with top selling real estate professionals and learning from the best and brightest in the industry. They seek to apply a comprehensive business strategy in working with clients either buying or selling. Their attention to detail, marketing expertise, negotiation skills, and focus on client satisfaction are invaluable assets to any client.
