Tina Adderley was born in Angola, Africa to Cape Verdean parents. At the age of five, she immigrated to Cape Verde Islands with her family and thereafter to Boston, Massachusetts where she was raised and educated. In 1998 she relocated to Bermuda from New York City where she is an active member of the community.
Tina is a marketing professional with twenty years of experience in advertising, promotions, public relations, and business management. In 2011, as one of her business development strategies, she boldly introduced Bermuda’s first, major Black Friday Shopping concept to the Phoenix Group of stores. The event made history and was a resounding success for the Group on all levels. Its continued success has helped revolutionize the way local retailers conduct business.
Before relocating to Bermuda, Tina resided in New York City where she started her career in the vibrant and highly competitive publishing business. There, she obtained invaluable knowledge and experience while working as the Direct-Marketing Manager for DC Comics and MAD Magazine, a division of Warner Brothers (Time Warner Inc.), the highlight of which included the production of national print and television promotional campaigns for the blockbuster Warner Bros. motion picture, Batman & Robin.
Upon relocating to Bermuda, she expanded her career further by pursuing opportunities in publishing, internet/technology, commercial construction, retail, shipping, caregiving, relocation, translation, hospitality, and healthcare industries.
Academically, Tina holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Bentley University (Massachusetts) and a Master’s in business administration degree from Webster University (Missouri).She is fluent in Portuguese-Creole.
