Luke Bakalar

Luke joined Jameson Sotheby's in 2021 after 10+ years in the real estate business and nearly 50 million in career sales. Aside from real estate brokerage activities, Luke develops small-scale residential properties in and around Chicago. Originally from the northern suburbs of Chicago, he has lived in the Bucktown and Wicker Park neighborhoods for 10 years. In addition to neighborhoods west of I-90, Luke is well-versed in northside communities abutting the lake (Old Town, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Wrigleyville, and Andersonville). Having represented buyers, sellers and new construction developments across Chicago, Luke brings a wealth of information and experience to each of his client relationships. He is well-versed in every step of the often complicated transaction process, eager to answer questions and address concerns at a moment’s notice. Prior to joining Jameson Sotheby's, Luke earned his BA from the University of Pennsylvania and MBA from the University of Michigan, where he concentrated in real estate and marketing. Before pursuing his MBA, Luke worked in television programming in New York City for 6 years. He enjoys live music, film, photography, golf, and, of course, outdoor dining.
