Local Expertise. Global Connections.
Patricia Best is a decorated real estate professional with a career spanning more than four decades and several states. She recently moved to the Lakewood Ranch area after visiting for several years. In 1979, after graduating with honors from Boston College, Pat founded a real estate syndication firm in Boston, which financed commercial transactions.
Upon moving to Manhattan in 1984, Pat started a family. She was an active volunteer at her daughter's school, Sacred Heart, and involved in the founding of the Children's Museum of Manhattan. Moving to Lakeville, Connecticut in 1992, Pat was an active parent and fundraiser for the Indian Mountain School. She resumed her real estate career in 1995 as a partner at a Salisbury agency. Pat went on to establish her own firm, Best & Cavallaro Real Estate, which partnered with William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty in 2019.
In addition to her love for real estate investing, Pat has a passion for design and renovation. She has designed, renovated and built seven homes in Litchfield County, Connecticut, including the restoration of a historic 1845 Greek Revival home in Lakeville.
Prior to relocating to Florida, Pat was active in civic affairs in Connecticut. She served as the chair of the board of TriArts, a not-for-profit theatre company at The Sharon Playhouse, where she also performed onstage. Pat has been a successful fundraiser for, and benefactor of, many nonprofit organizations in Connecticut, and hopes to continue to be an active civic-minded citizen of the Sarasota area.
