David Arvesen

David Arvesen, as a broker and real estate appraiser, brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and proven results to all his clients. David’s insight into the DFW real estate market comes from over thirty years as a residential and commercial real estate appraiser. He has earned both the MAI and SRA designations in real estate valuation (for commercial and residential appraising) and previously utilized his expertise with several local real estate companies and a large national bank. In his division he managed all commercial appraisals for the western half of the United States.

David joined his wife, Malinda, to create the Arvesen Real Estate Group with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty to provide the best representation for their clients in all areas of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. David’s roots in real estate are deep. His father was Chief Appraiser for the southwest region of Fannie Mae.

Originally from Elmhurst, Illinois, David moved to Richardson and graduated from Baylor University in Waco. He began his career with Lawyer’s Title before joining his father for many years in operating their Dallas real estate appraisal firm.

David and Malinda live in the Park Cities area and raised their three children in the Highland Park ISD. Their son, David, is a local patent attorney; John is an orthopedic surgeon; and Kate is a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorders. The Arvesens are members of Caruth Hills and Homeplace Neighborhood Association and Northwest Bible Church. David is an avid cyclist and completed the Triple Bypass ride in Colorado in 2018. He also belongs to the Dallas Aquatic Masters, enjoys bridge, travel, and cheering on the Baylor Bears.
