Claudia von Asten

A native of Bad Kreuznach, Germany, Claudia von Asten has spent the last twenty years in beautiful South Carolina where she excels as a residential real estate agent. With an impressive professional career, Claudia brings a wide array of crucial skills and business acumen to the table.

She studied Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, Germany, and the Robert Gorden University in Aberdeen, Scotland. At the international grocery company Aldi, Claudia oversaw numerous retail stores, proving herself an efficient and organized manager. Then she further honed her approach to service as the assistant to the Chief Financial Officer for Behr America, prioritizing discretion and seamless results while often under pressure. Her high level experience translates to clients in a palpable way, through her calm and capable demeanor she is an ideal advocate, lending clarity to even the most complex transactions.

Claudia is a natural fit within the worldwide Sotheby’s International Realty brand, leveraging her own personal international network in tandem with the Brand's global reach. She counts several global cities, including Aix-en-Provence, France; Aberdeen, Scotland; and Ottawa, Canada, as previous homes. In South Carolina, she has lived in the coveted neighborhood of I’On in Mt. Pleasant for the past fifteen years.

Claudia is married to Johann von Asten, a native of Belgium, and they have two sons: Maximilian, a senior studying Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, and Felix, a junior at New York University’s Stern Business School. When not working, she revels in the Lowcountry lifestyle through boating, walking, and golf carting often with her labradoodle in tow.
