David was born in Westminster, London UK and spent his early years in both Great Britain and Western Pennsylvania. He attended Michigan State University where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and the MSU Senior Class Council. He graduated with a degree from Michigan State's James Madison College School of Government with a BA in International Relations. After graduation, he moved to Boston's North End to begin his career in sales. David and his husband moved to Southern California where they established a property development, sales and consulting company with offices in both Los Angeles and the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area's of Southern California.
Family concerns provided the impetus for him to return to The Bay State. Having considerable knowledge of property development and sales, David became a licensed real estate agent working with clients across Eastern Massachusetts, particularly on the North Shore. After 11 years of practice, David became a licensed real estate broker, and is pleased to become affiliated with Gibson Sotheby's International Realty.
Education has always been important to him, and in addition to obtaining his brokers license, he has also received certification as an Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), Certified New Home Specialist, Certified Home Marketing Specialist (CHMS) as well as a member of the NAR's Green Council (Green Home Certified), and is Residential Construction Certified.
David is active in real estate organizations on the local and national levels. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (GBREB), The National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals (NAGLREP), the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA), and is a member of the Global Task Force for the Greater Boston Association of Realtors.
Membership in civic organizations has always been important to David, and he is a founding member of the Salem Theater Company, a Proprietor and member of the Salem Athenaeum, Benefactor of the Peabody Essex Museum, member of the Boston Museum of Fine Art, Member of The Frick Collection Museum in Manhattan, supporting member of the Uffizi Gallery in Firenza Italy, and member of the Boston Athenaeum. Additionally, he is a supporter of Doctors Without Boarders, the Alzheimers Association and joined the Gibson Sotheby's International Realty team's 2018 Run for St. Jude's Children's hospital.
Although seemingly in perpetual motion, David does try to spend vacations at his family home in Florence, Italy.
