Mona Banes, a first generation Iranian-American (fluent in Farsi) and a native of Northern Virginia, is a Vice President at TTR Sotheby’s International Realty. In 2021, as a member of McLean, VA based The Alliance Group, the top producing realtor team in Northern Virginia, Mona managed and coordinated just shy of $40 million of the team’s $150 million worth of real estate transactions. Over the last few years, Mona has ranked among the region’s top producing realtors according to NOVA Real Producers magazine, and was a member of the 2020 Northern Virginia Association of Realtor’s (NVAR) Leadership Institute.
Mona has been featured in Washingtonian magazine’s the “Best of Washington” and Arlington Magazine’s the “Best of Arlington.” Mona combines her years of negotiation skills, local market knowledge, and analytical skills and will never let any client settle for less than their expectation! Prior to entering real-estate, Mona earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from George Mason University and spent five years at Accenture, an international consulting company sharpening her negotiation skills. At Accenture, she was a member of a team putting together complex deals for the company, a skillset that has come to be extremely helpful in the real estate industry. Mona is a strong believer in giving back to her community. In 2016, she was awarded one of the Town of Vienna’s Mayor Volunteer Recognition awards for her participation with the Vienna Children’s Unity Classes, a Sunday school program inspired by the Baha’i Ruhi Institute, with a focus on teaching children about virtues and how to incorporate them into their lives at an early age. Mona currently resides with her husband Adam, a practicing attorney, and their son in McLean, Virginia.
