Local Expertise. Global Connections.
ONE Sotheby’s International Realty sales associate Joan Jimenez brings a fresh approach to the field. A long-time Miamian, she has a real sense of place for the city. Having resided on a canal front home in Islands of Cocoplum, an exclusive estate waterfront community in Coral Gables, Fl., since 1995, she’s able to share her invaluable insight about the enclave, as well as the nuances of its surrounding neighborhoods. In addition to raising her three children there, she serves as vice president of the Cocoplum Homeowner’s Association and chair of its Social Committee.
“I’m deeply entrenched and passionate about my community,” says Jimenez, who has spearheaded several of its improvement projects. “As a new generation of families move into the area, it’s important for them to know the differences between the various luxury developments such as Cocoplum, Islands of Cocoplum including Tahiti Beach, and Gables Estates. Each offers different amenities and services of which I'm quite familiar.”
Jimenez has always been the caring type. Before joining Mayi de la Vega, founder and chief executive officer of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, in 2008, she was a clinical nurse specialist at Mercy Hospital in Miami and New York-Presbyterian Hospital. “As an educator, policy maker and clinical researcher who has built long-term relationships, I bring a lot of experience to the market.”
Her firsthand knowledge of her clientele’s lifestyle and what makes South Florida so special are a remarkable asset for the firm.
