Maria has extensive experience in the international and DC metropolitan market with a 31-year real estate background. She was raised and lived in Greece for several years traveling extensively all over Europe. The Washington DC area has always been her home, as she is the daughter of an American Diplomat. In 1994, she created her own Real Estate Firm in Greece, which over the years became one of the top firms in Athens, for luxury properties and waterfront villas. As of 2016, she has permanently moved to the US to continue pursuing her global real estate career. She is a citizen of the world and works with Buyers and Sellers internationally. That is the reason that she has been interviewed by The Washington Post for her expertise in the Global Market. Her university studies in Economics play an important role in her approach to her work and life. Together with the extensive knowledge and experience she has developed in the international and DC real estate market, her solid and persistent attitude is evident in everything she does. Maria provides the entire Washington Metropolitan Area with a full range of residential and commercial services. Her clientele ranges from first-time home buyers to chairmen of multi-national corporations, developers, investors and executives of multilateral institutions such as the IMF, World Bank, and IFC. Her straight forward and honest character along with her open personality helps her build long lasting relationships with her happy clients. In 2021, Maria received the “Community Leadership Award” from TTR Sotheby’s International Realty. She is the author of the children's best-selling book 'Stylianos Kyriakides - The Man Who Ran for an Entire Nation”, in the Greek language. It is the story of her grandfather, one of the most famous Marathon runners of the 20th century, who the Boston Marathon Association named as the 'First Marathon Runner to run for charity'. All the profits of the legal rights of her book go to 'Lifeline Humanitarian Organization in Greece', of which she is a Founding Member and Honorary Member of the BOD, and Patron is Princess Catherine of Serbia. Furthermore, she is the Past President of the National Society of Arts and Letters, Washington DC Chapter, a well-known, nationwide, non-profit organization that provides scholarships to young people in Arts, Literature, Classical Music, Drama and Musical Drama. Maria is a runner of long-distance races and has two daughters- Anastasia that lives in Los Angeles and Alexandra who is also pursuing her career in real estate.
