Mark C. Lowham has served as CEO of TTR Sotheby's International Realty since 2011. Mark's impressive career includes serving as the former Executive Vice President of WEST*GROUP, a leading real estate development firm and as Associate in the Corporate Finance Group of Kidder, Peabody & Company in New York. With an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Stanford University, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the real estate industry. Mark’s career in real estate started in Wyoming where his father owned a ranch brokerage company. With his father as a mentor, Mark earned his real estate license at the age of 18 and proceeded to sell his first ranch at the age of 19. It was the beginning of a lifelong passion for real estate. In recent years, he has been consistently recognized as one of the 100 most powerful business leaders in Washington by the Washington Business Journal. He is also a fixture on The Swanepoel Power 200 (SP200) list, honoring the 200 most influential leaders in residential real estate in the United States. Mark leads by example and is highly engaged with current market conditions, industry trends, and emerging opportunities. He is ranked among the top 100 agents at Sotheby’s International Realty worldwide. In the Washington area, Mark has personally handled 4 of the 5 most expensive sales in the history of the Washington region including the sales of the iconic Merrywood and Kimsey Estates for $45 m. and $47 m. respectively. Beyond his professional success, Mark is deeply committed to his community. He has held leadership roles in various non-profit organizations, including serving as Chairman of the Board for Teach for America in the DC Region, as a trustee for the INOVA Foundation, a member of the Potomac School Board of Trustees, and as a Commissioner for the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority. Mark also served on the Board of Visitors at George Mason University where he chaired the Real Estate Committee. He is currently a Trustee for the Hillwood Estate and Museum. Mark resides in McLean, Jackson Hole and Palm Beach with his husband and two children, embodying a balanced life dedicated to excellence and gratitude in both his personal and professional endeavors.
