Maureen Oswald

Maureen Oswald's passion for real estate comes from the family's long involvement in the profession. It began with The Degnan Company, founded by her grandfather in the 1920's in West Orange, NJ. Maureen's father took over as President and opened over 10 branches in northern jersey counties. Maureen's early careers provided opportunities in finance and education, although she I knew it was just a matter of time before the excitement and rewards of real estate could no longer be ignored. Maureen had the unique opportunity to watch and assist her parents in building their successful business. She is most proud of the sincere interest in the happiness of those they represented which is evident in the number of lasting relationships the family enjoys. Maureen is dedicated to upholding their strong work ethic, high level of commitment, honesty, personal integrity and extensive knowledge of the industry. A career in Real Estate offers the same rewards Maureen has found in teaching - an opportunity to help others reach their goals. And the same qualities that led to her success in education and finance - patience, empathy, creativity, and a fascination with numbers - allow Maureen to provide the highest degree of professional service with a personal touch. A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Maureen spent memorable summers at her grandmother's guest home in Avon-by-the Sea. She earned a degree in economics from Boston College, but never missed a summer living and working in Belmar, Bradley Beach and Spring Lake. Maureen's brother was the first to move his family and appraisal business down to Manasquan, and the rest of the family followed suit. And Maureen has never been happier living in Ocean Grove with her two sons, Joseph and Matthew and husband John, former editor of the Asbury Park Press' fishing section- Hook, Line & Sinker.
