Barbara Casey

Barbara Casey has completed and/or managed the purchase or sale of nearly $1Billion of residential real estate in Weston, Wayland, Boston and its western suburbs, around the Country and in Europe during the last twenty plus years. Her and her husband owned and operated a Weston based brokerage firm for eighteen years until selling it to Gibson Sotheby's International Realty in January 2011. Both continue to list and sell real estate as associates of Sotheby's. Barbara, a graduate of St. Johns University, started her working career as an elementary school teacher. She assumed the role of office manager after we acquired our real estate brokerage business and began working directly with our associates and our clients every day for eighteen years. She was involved in assisting agents with listings, marketing, advertising and record keeping and provided direct listing and purchase services to clients who wished to work directly with her. She believes firmly in and has continued to study as the industry has grown and changed and has earned many advanced designations of professional competence, including as a Seniors and Fine Homes Specialist. The Caseys have been active volunteers in many civic, community and charitable causes most of their lives. Barbara was a very active volunteer at the Weston Public Schools for all 14 years our children were in attendance. She has been an active member of the Women's Community League of Weston for over 35 years, serving on its Board to the present and as its President, She volunteered as an almost full time assistant at the local Bay Scouts Council office for many years and served with various other organizations since arriving in Town. Barbara and Peter have lived in, enjoyed and been active participants in Weston for over forty years.
