Melissa began her career with Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty as the Executive Assistant to President Patricia Petersen and Chief Executive Officer Deirdre O’Connell . She played an integral role within the entire company with a wide range of administrative and management duties in addition to spearheading corporate and community events, industry conferences, and leading corporate charitable contributions and sponsorships including Pink Aid Long Island, Huntington Hospital, and The Heckscher Museum of Arts.
After nearly six years in her corporate role, along with her success as an associate broker, Melissa’s overall understanding of the business and her proven dedication as a company advocate greatly prepared her for her current role as Sales Manager for the Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty Huntington Office. Her approachable demeanor and patience enable her to attract and retain top talent. She takes pride in working to build a strong and collaborative team through trust and unified goals, creating an environment that feels like family. Melissa is a kind and driven manager who invests in the progress and growth of her agents by providing the necessary tools and strategies for their success. Her attention to detail, unrelenting work ethic, and exceptional communication skills coupled with her constant support makes her an asset to her agents, ensuring their development and satisfaction.
She and her husband, Will, have built their business by helping family, friends, and neighbors with all their real estate needs.
Prior to joining Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty in 2016, Melissa worked in business management and administrative support roles for Barnum Premier Client Group and J. P. Morgan Chase.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University and a Master of Science degree in Dance Movement Therapy from Pratt Institute. She is a longtime resident of Huntington.
