Casey Murphey

Casey Murphey has been with Daniel Ravenel Sothebys for 20 years. She grew up in Rockville, Maryland and spent most summer vacations in South Carolina at Cherry Grove Beach. After graduation from Pratt Institute in N.Y.C. with a B.F.A., She spent most of her early adult life working in the Fashion business. For twenty years she traveled all over the world as a Women’s Sportswear designer and , Private Label merchandising consultant for two of the largest manufacturers based in Hong Kong. She is very familiar with and specializes in knowing the particular details and nuances of each historic neighborhood on the Peninsula and has SOLD historic homes in all of them. She lives in Ansonborough, the Greenwich Village of Charleston. Her extensive travels in both Europe and the far east are what have enabled her to appreciate the beauty and history of Charleston. She definitely feels that Charleston is the most European of all U.S. cities. She has one son, Blake, who grew up in both NYC and Charleston. He attended Episcopal in Virginia and then Amherst College in Massachusetts. He is currently a lieutenant in Naval Intelligence and is living in Sicily.
