Local Expertise. Global Connections.
When working with her diverse group of buyers and sellers, Teresa Arthur focuses on the unique needs and priorities of her clients, allowing her to tailor a successful real estate strategy for each individual. For Teresa, the magical moment when a transaction becomes a relationship is the highlight of working in real estate. Born in Stockholm, Sweden to American parents, Teresa's family returned to the states when she was three. Teresa grew up in Newberg, OR, a bedroom community about 20 miles SW of Portland that is now home to one of the most prestigious wine regions on the West Coast, the Willamette Valley AVA. Teresa truly considers herself a native Oregonian and received her B.A. in Speech Communications from Oregon State University. Her previous experience working in landscape design and video production has helped mold her creative eye, a vital skill needed for identifying the potential opportunities a property has to offer. Whether working with a buyer or seller, Teresa recognizes that communication is key to having a good relationship with her clients. She views herself as a facilitator to each transaction, and knows how to listen to her clients' needs, manage expectations, and keep her clients informed every step of the way. Maintaining relationships beyond a transaction is important to Teresa. She is fortunate enough to receive glowing reviews from past clients, so much so that referrals are now her primary source of business. In her spare time Teresa enjoys photography, running, knitting, and enjoying a good movie! Teresa lives in downtown Portland with her husband and rescue lab-mix, Rory. Teresa is also passionate about giving back to her community. She actively volunteers with a variety of local organizations including the Oregon Food Bank and SOLVE Oregon. Additionally, Teresa participates in the SPARK project, CSIR's community engagement program committed to connecting brokers with local non-profits. As a participant of the SPARK project, Teresa donates a portion of her commission at the end of each closing to the Oregon Food Bank. The next time you're poised to enter the market, Teresa would be honored to guide you through this important experience.
