Melody Abella

Melody is a Vice President with TTR Sotheby’s International Realty. In 2023 she was ranked as one of the Top 500 Realtors (out of 22K) in Northern Virginia, putting her in the top 2%. She’s licensed in Virginia and Washington, DC and a founding Partner of the award-winning team, The Seward Group.

In the competitive Washington, DC metro real estate market, Melody is known for being “calm in the midst of the chaos” while fiercely negotiating her clients’ behalf and navigating the entire process, from A to Z, with ease and grace. She is passionate about educating buyers and sellers and crafting a winning plan that will work to achieve their real estate goals and financial objectives.

Born and raised in Delaware, Melody is a business graduate of University of Delaware and has called Arlington, VA home since 1995. Though she once did marketing for a handful of telecom/tech companies (Nextel, MCI, Network Solutions/VeriSign, Sage), her most rewarding pre-real estate career success is the mobile yoga company she founded in 2006 (abellaYoga.com).

Since joining TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in 2017, Melody has been running her real estate business exclusively by referral which enables her to focus 100% on her clients – and continue to service them beyond the sales transaction. She is grateful to be consistently recognized as a Washington Top Agent (since 2018) and an Arlington Top Producer (since 2020).

Some fun facts about Melody are that she has rappelled down 14-stories in National Landing twice over the last two years, raising over $16K to help combat homelessness in Northern Virginia. She has an awesome rescue GSP/mutt named Kenzie and teaches BeerYoga on Tuesday nights at Port City Brewing. In her free time, she practices yoga, meditates, runs and loves visiting DC’s museums and bookstores.
