Growing up in Connecticut, Andrea relocated to Old Town Alexandria in 1989 after completing her Masters Degree in Teaching. She began her teaching career and fell in love with the area as a special place to call home. She taught in the Alexandria City Public School system for 12 years and was an integral part of the conversion of Lyles-Crouch Elementary School to a traditional academy. It was during her teaching career that Andrea began investing in real estate in the metropolitan area and at 23 years old, she purchased her first property.
She has bought, managed, renovated, and sold a variety of investment properties, including a multi-use commercial property with a restaurant, condos, and a marina. Overseeing construction projects from complete teardowns to basic remodeling, she is adept at designing spaces, choosing materials, and hiring the right contractors for each job. Her passion for real estate extends to all types of properties across every budget. Andrea delivers an unparalleled level of service and value to every client, for every transaction. Her experience with real estate goes even further back to her parents, who invested and managed single family, multi-family, and apartment building complexes.
Andrea grew up helping her Greek parents achieve the American Dream - spending her free time working the properties with her Dad. A lifetime of working real estate has honed her knack for finding properties for her clients that have outstanding value. Andrea combines her passion for real estate with her teaching career to educate buyers, sellers and investors on every phase of the process. While helping clients, she develops a trusting relationship with open communication, ensuring that they have a clear understanding of their options every step of the way. Having earned a reputation of tenaciously protecting her clients’ interests, Andrea’s clients attest to her abilities in effectively serving their needs and goals. Referrals serve as a consistent driver of new business.
Andrea is also committed to her community. She has coached the T.C. Williams High School JV field hockey team, served on the St. Luke’s Day preschool Board, and volunteered regularly through her children’s schools and extracurricular activities. She actively supports several charities including the Children’s Defense Fund, Wounded Warriors, ArtSpire, the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the Gonzaga Annual Fund and her Church. Speaking fluent Greek, Andrea has an international background.
When not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She recently downsized to Old Town Alexandria with her husband of 25 years. As empty nesters, with both children in college, she and her husband are renewing their love of the DC area by exploring local eateries, sporting and musical events and spending time on the water near the Chesapeake Bay.
