Originally from the East Coast, Kate Amsbry landed in California in October 1991 by way of Aspen, CO. She had the pleasure of living in San Francisco for several years working in advertising sales before moving to Southern California and finally arriving in Pasadena in 2003.
Kate launched her real estate career at Sotheby's International Realty in 2011 and she has been involved in transactions ranging from $300,000 to $4,000,000 working with first-time buyers, clients ready to downsize, couples ready to start a family, families who just need more space and clients who are relocating. What’s most important to Kate is her relationship with her clients. With a widespread knowledge of the San Gabriel Valley neighborhoods, a keen eye for adding value and top-level service, Kate’s goal is for her clients to have a phenomenal experience. As a testament, 90 percent of Kate’s business comes through referrals.
Kate is dedicated to demystifying and guiding her clients through the process of a real estate transaction. She prides herself on being easily accessible, making sure her clients get their questions answered in a timely manner and, overall, being well cared for. She feels strongly in treating her clients the way that she would want to be treated - with loyalty, integrity, trust, and professionalism.
Kate is lucky enough to be married to a man, Pat, who makes her laugh every day. Their two boys, Jack and Tom, have kept them busy between Boy Scouts (Jack earned his Eagle Scout) and the Junior Olympic Diving Team at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center. Kate enjoys volunteering at these organizations and at their schools: St. Marks School, Polytechnic School and now from afar, Tufts University and Amherst College. She and her husband are big supporters of the organization Reading Partners and have adopted one of Pasadena's underserved elementary schools with the hope of giving these students access to opportunities for a high-quality education.
