Kathryn Adams

Kathryn Anderson Adams brings a distinctive combination of skill and experience to her career at Sotheby's International Realty. Prior to joining the company, she was consistently regarded as a top producer with William Raveis Real Estate. As a recipient of the firm's International Excellence Award, she was acknowledged as the top listing agent for four consecutive years, and recognized in the top 25% for close volume in 2004.

As a full-time professional agent, Kathryn has earned the trust and confidence of her clients through her commitment to them and her superior negotiation and sales talents. She always advocates in their best interests and, due to her thoughtful regard for clients' individual needs, generates many referrals from previous customers. She serves mostly Greenwich but also serves several other towns in Fairfield County and has strong network alliances within Connecticut and New York.

Kathryn has represented more than a few of the finest properties ever offered in Greenwich, including the James McCutceon House, or Cornerstone, which was plaqued by the Greenwich Historical Society, and Gourlie Cottage. Both of these homes are excellent examples of Shingle-Style architecture and are situated in the Belle Haven Association. She also represented historic Held Cottage, which is within the Indian Harbor Association. Having worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Kathryn has in-depth knowledge and appreciation of fine architecture and craftsmanship, and having given many tours there, she is perfectly suited for illuminating significant features of distinguished homes. Also, because she lived in Crowley Castle for 17 years, she has personal knowledge as well as marketing knowledge on how to market a grand home.

Kathryn has resided in Greenwich for 33 years and knows her community well. Her involvement with local organizations includes the Greenwich Historical Society, Christ Church and the Fairchester Chapter of the World's President's Organization. She has served on the Yale Cancer Center Advisory (YCC) Board for 15 years and has chaired the YCC annual benefit for ten years.

She received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a cofounder of Biogen/IDEC and Advanced Genetic Sciences.

Kathryn is married and has three adult children, a film critic, an attorney and a filmmaker, as well as one grandchild. She has been Chair of the Swarthmore, Yale, Exeter and Andover Parent Committees and is a member of the University of Pennsylvania Trustees Council of Penn Women. She enjoys team tennis, skiing and sailing with her husband when she can get away.

Kathryn holds a Graduate, Realtors Institute designation. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Connecticut Association of Realtors, Greenwich Association of Realtors, Greenwich Multiple Listing Service and Consolidated Multiple Listing Service.
