Local Expertise. Global Connections.
Ellen Philips’ passion for real estate began with her family. Her great-grandfather was a New York architect and her mother was an interior design and open house enthusiast throughout Ellen’s childhood.
Earning a degree at Northwestern University exposed Ellen to Chicago’s breathtaking architecture and Frank Lloyd Wright’s classic homes. After graduating, she spent time touring the world as a bass player in a band that enjoyed stints in the Netherlands, Finland, Scotland, and England.
Before joining Sotheby’s International Realty, Ellen worked for a decade as a producer for HGTV’s hottest shows, including House Hunters, House Hunters Renovation, National Open House, and Design On A Dime. This experience honed her real estate and interior design knowledge, as well as her skills for providing unparalleled service to prominent clients.
Although the greater Los Angeles real estate market can be stressful for buyers and sellers, Ellen brings a calm levelheadedness to every transaction and supports her clients every step of the way. First-time homebuyers are drawn to her honest communication and considerate educational style, while seasoned investors value her effective negotiating and professionalism.
Having lived in L.A. County for 18 years, Ellen offers extensive insight into the market to deliver the highest level of expertise. Her track record includes sales and satisfied clients in Silver Lake, Echo Park, Northeast Los Angeles, Altadena, Santa Monica, and beyond.
