An Eye For The Details
LA is the land of possibility. When Mia Coveny moved from Chicago to Los Angeles in 2002 with her aspiring television writer husband, her immediate plans were to simply renovate their newly purchased 1930s-era Spanish-style. Well, that one home led to another, and another — and a passion became a career.
Amelia found that her eye for the details of those homes and her ability to see potential where others do not helped attract buyers. Those homes sold quickly and for top dollar. Since then, those renovations led to referrals for renovation and interior design work for writers, actors and producers, busy, creative people looking to enhance the way they live. Soon enough, after being asked by clients and friends to look at homes they were buying or selling, it was time to do add another slash to renovator/decorator, and Mia became a real estate agent.
Listing or buying can be overwhelming. Mia can relate. She’s done it herself and for her clients. She brings knowledge, integrity, follow-through, creativity, and a sense of humor to her job no matter how stressful the times.
Today, the Covenys currently reside in their fifth renovated home, a Spanish-style fixer nestled in the hills of Nottingham Ave in Los Feliz. Mia enjoys cooking at home and hiking in Griffith Park with her husband, John, and their beloved English bulldog, Mae. Mia currently volunteers at the Food Bank of Greater Los Angeles. To unwind, Mia can be found at the Hollywood Farmer’s Market or at one of Southern California's swap meets, hoping to snag an amazing light fixture or score a gorgeous bauble. What was just a dream over 15 years when they came here is now a place Mia, John, and Mae can truly call home.
